A small Flash application selectively consuming twitter posts, cobbled together on a Sunday afternoon while doing a little research into RESTful webservices. The app continuously searches Twitter for posts containing “I love” or “I hate” (inspired by the beautiful twistory site) using the AS3 G94 Circular Menu and Tweetr API.

Our pilot for the Kwizt project is nearing completion! For its backend the application makes use of Drupal, extensively building on the AMFPHP, Quiz and Services modules. The userinterface is 100% Flash Actionscript 3.0, smoothly bouncing elements up and down the stage thanks to GreenSocks libraries.

While searching for a Flash display manager I came upon the NpFlexLayout class on Blog.noPonies.com. It seemed just what I was looking for – except for an option to constrain the proportions of resizeable objects. Fortunately it proved easy to add a “keepRatio” option to the well documented NoPonies code.
