Ok, Louis Armstrong already knew: “Smile, and the whole world smiles with you“. But according to novel research such Happiness Power might reach further than even Satchmo would have expected. Social scientists Nick Christakis and James Fowler say that your felicity is not only influenced by the happiness of your close friends and relatives but also by your friends’ friends’ friends! Even Facebook profile pictures might not be all that innocent, according to related research.  Maybe be a good reason to say goodbye to that Very Intense™ / pouty / squinty look adorning your profile pic on Facebook?
